What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Village of University Park?
The Village of University Park is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Human Resources Coordinator. All duties are performed under the general supervision of the Village Manager. JOB SUMMARY The ideal candidate must complete human resources and administrative tasks related to daily operations. Tasks include providing all areas human resource services, including recruitment and staffing, employee relations, performance management, compensation administration, benefits administration, and employee development. Will work collaboratively to best align HR practices with the evolving municipality needs and team-oriented structure. Must be able to coordinate various new hire processes such as E-Verify, I-9 compliance, notification to state registry, DOT compliance (initial and continued), and employee badging and issuance of equipment based on client requirements. Must have a bachelor’s degree or four years related experience and/or training. Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and standards such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc. HR Certifications (i.e., PHR, SHRM, SPHR) required. Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus but not required.
