Position Summary
Village Shalom seeks an experienced, results-driven fundraiser to lead the Bridge Campaign. This role will work closely with the development team, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors to execute a strategic fundraising plan, cultivate donor relationships, and drive solicitation efforts to achieve campaign success.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in major gift fundraising, campaign management, and donor relations, bringing a collaborative approach to achieving fundraising goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or CFRE certification preferred.
- 5 years of frontline fundraising experience within complex, multi-line organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management databases; Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling donor proposals.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Passion for senior care and Village Shalom’s mission.
Preferred Experience
- Fundraising experience in nonprofit healthcare or senior living.
- Knowledge of planned giving programs and major gift solicitation strategies.
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented development environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the planning, execution, and management of the $6 million Bridge Campaign.
- Collaborate with the development team, senior leadership, and Board members to establish and execute campaign strategies.
- Develop a detailed campaign plan, including donor engagement strategies, timelines, and key milestones.
2. Donor Engagement & Solicitation
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors, corporations, and foundations.
- Develop personalized donor outreach and engagement strategies.
- Prepare compelling proposals and presentations for major gift solicitations.
3. Campaign Management & Reporting
- Track progress toward fundraising goals, monitor donor pledges, and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Provide regular campaign updates to the development team, leadership, and Board.
- Maintain accurate donor records and ensure proper stewardship of campaign contributions.
4. Donor Stewardship & Recognition
- Implement donor recognition plans, including naming opportunities and tailored thank-you strategies.
- Coordinate with marketing and communications to develop campaign materials and engagement content.
5. Collaboration & Team Support
- Partner with the development team to align fundraising efforts and leverage team expertise.
- Work closely with marketing to ensure consistent messaging across all donor communications.
