This full-time role requires availability for 10-hour shifts, including weekends and Monday to Friday.
As a Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational and merchandising standards of Village Super Market. Reporting to the Area Lead, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the store, meeting customer needs, engaging associates, and ensuring service is both quick and efficient. Your goal will be to implement strategies that enhance customer service, drive sales, and improve profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively, meeting or exceeding sales targets, customer service standards, and profitability goals.
- Execute and enforce policies and procedures related to financial, inventory management, merchandising, safety, security, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Lead and motivate a team of employees, providing training, coaching, guidance, and feedback to improve performance, engagement, and retention.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, such as sales trends, customer demographics, and expenses, and use data to make informed decisions and recommendations for improvement.
- Foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers, resolving complaints, addressing feedback, and promoting loyalty and satisfaction.
- Continuously improve personal and professional skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Prior experience in retail management is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet store needs.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Ability to delegate and provide clear communication to other associates.
- Knowledge of inventory management and stock level monitoring.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to providing a positive shopping experience.
