We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher to join our culinary team. The Butcher will be responsible for assisting in selecting, cutting, and preparing high-quality meats for our menu offerings and catering events. This role requires expertise in meat preparation, a commitment to maintaining food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSOBILITIES
- Meat Preparation:
- Cut, trim, debone, and portion various types of meats, including beef, pork, poultry, and fish, as per menu specifications.
- Grind meats, prepare sausages, and handle specialty cuts for premium quality.
- Ensure consistent portion sizes and presentation standards.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor meat inventory levels and communicate stock needs to the culinary team.
- Properly store and label all meat products, adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain kitchen equipment to ensure precision and safety.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment after each use.
- Food Safety Compliance:
- Follow all health and safety regulations for meat handling, storage, and preparation.
- Ensure proper temperature controls are maintained for meat storage and display.
- Waste Management:
- Minimize meat waste by maximizing usable portions.
- Properly dispose of trimmings and inedible portions following company guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:
- Proven experience as a butcher, preferably in a restaurant, catering, or retail environment.
- Knowledge of meat cutting, preparation techniques, and different cuts.

Skills:
- Exceptional knife skills and knowledge of butchering equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and adherence to food safety standards.
- Certifications: Butcher or meat-cutting certification is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable lifting heavy ingredients or equipment (up to 50 lbs).
