We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Specific Duties:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the food processing industry.
Must be able to conduct advanced calculations and functions within Excel including, but not limited to building Pivot Tables, preparing data for VLookup analysis, and advanced formula creation and data manipulation.
Language:
Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from personnel inside the company.
Mathematical Skills:
This position requires advanced mathematical skills and the ability to apply advanced mathematical principals to GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
Reasoning:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited direction exists. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or other form.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, organize, and prioritize workload, excellent internal customer service skills.
Work Environment:
This position requires the individual to work within an office setting. The position may require lifting of up to 25 pounds unassisted and up to 50 pounds with assistance.

- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Monitor and analyze budget variances and financial performance.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost control.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
- Any/All other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
