Director of Roofing Operations

Job Summary

We are looking for a General Manager to help us increase sales and address customer needs within a specific region. As the GM you will have the opportunity to generate new leads and increase sales. This is a new position within the company and a perfect opportunity to help build a great team to grow our company. · Promote/sell/secure new jobs from existing and prospective customers through relationship-based approach

· Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions

· Demonstrate products and services to potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs

· Knowledge of products and services offered to assist customers

· Make telephone calls and in person visits and presentations to customers

· Communication skills

· Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly goals

· Strong negotiation and persuasion skills

· Ability to work independently and with a team

· Strong organization skills and attention to detail

· Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints

· Keep Sales Percentage at or above 30% monthly

· Must be able to lift, carry, set and load an extension ladder

Responsibilities:

• Manage, coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise all team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assignments
• Plan and schedule projects timelines and effectively disseminate communication to appropriate individuals
• Manage crews, warehouse, trucks and equipment
• Recruit, interview, and hire new laborers, and supervisors, to keep up with work flow demands
• Travel to and from appointments and locations
• Responsible for monitoring successes of each department
• Professional aptitude to manage operational meetings and interact with customers
• Ensure that strict safety standards with sales team are followed always
• Ability to process and identify successful and unsuccessful operational processes
• Oversee all Residential and Commercial Projects at all locations
• Making sure company is profitable and running smoothly
• Requirements:
• Must work with integrity and honesty
• Minimum ten (10) years of roofing industry experience
• Previous experience in a supervisory/management role
• Working knowledge of all roofing industry standards and codes
• Education in a construction management or a related educational field
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Must be flexible and willing to split time variously between office/desk and external sites
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
