The role involves leading the successful completion of the DPH residency program’s application to the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and managing post-review requirements until unconditional accreditation is achieved.

Job Description
The Senior Program Manager will work closely with the program’s leadership team to oversee the planning, development, process improvement, and evaluations of the Dental Public Health Research Fellowship Program (DPHRFP). The role involves leading the successful completion of the DPH residency program’s application to the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and managing post-review requirements until unconditional accreditation is achieved.
Additional Responsibilities Include
- Providing residency mentoring, instruction, and program curriculum development.
- Systematizing and refining record-keeping and documentation for the residency program.
- Implementing the DPH residency program’s policies and procedures manuals.
- Education: Must possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree along with a public health degree (MPH, MSPH, or DrPH).
- Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of specialized experience providing oral health, scientific, and public health expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in research design, data analysis, and dissemination of research findings.
- Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams across oral health, basic science, and public health domains.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel and Word) and experience with reference management and statistical computation software.
- Expertise in statistical and graphical analysis for research and data presentation.
- Strong knowledge of epidemiology, oral health promotion, disease prevention, and health care policy.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of self-motivation, initiative, and deadline management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Proficiency in copy-editing, editorial procedures, and document review.
- Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills with a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Familiarity with the CODA accreditation process and its requirements.
- Knowledge of contemporary oral health issues and related public health matters.
- Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and resolve program challenges.
- Prior experience in population-based research and public health practice.
- Strong understanding of medical and dental terminology.
