Quality Inspector/Rewinder Job Description
At Vintage 99 Label Mfg, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector/Rewinder to join our team in Livermore, CA. The successful candidate will ensure that labels meet predetermined specifications throughout the production process. This role requires a keen eye for detail and effective communication skills to collaborate with press operators and other departments.
Key responsibilities include inspecting labels on press prior to, during, and after production, collaborating with press operators to resolve issues, verifying accuracy of items on the Q.C. sheet, and operating rewind equipment to wind/unwind rolls of labels. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn software programs are also essential. Strong math skills and the ability to apply concepts in all units of measure are required.
Physical requirements include standing, walking, and using hands to operate machinery and handle materials. The ability to lift and/or move more than 75 pounds of paper materials and rolls of labels is necessary. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception to assess material, quality, and color matching.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months of related experience or training are required. Previous experience in the printing industry or quality control is preferred.
