Line Cook (Part-Time)

Summary/Objective      A Line Cook prepares delicious entrees for our guests. You will help check kitchen stock for fresh ingredients and supplies, prepare components before each meal service, and ensure the work area is clean and ready. During service, you will plate and garnish dishes that are ready to be served to our patrons. We rotate menu items based on seasonal ingredients, which will allow you to cook a variety of exciting meals throughout the year. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Prepping ingredients before each meal service. Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations. Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks. Plating and garnishing dishes before they are served. Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.  Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts. Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations. Competencies Highly responsible and reliable. Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team. Strong organization and active listening skills. Exceptional time management skills. Work environment Ability to stand for most of your shift. Hotels operate 24/7 therefore schedules may at times fluctuate based on the needs of the business, so being flexible is key to this position. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, twist, or lifting as much as 30lbs. throughout your scheduled shift. Required education and experience Completion of a culinary program preferred. One plus years cooking in a professional kitchen. Excelling in a variety of cooking styles and techniques.
