What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host, Kassi Beach Club - Pool position at Virgin Hotels?
YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)
The Host responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, and escorting customers to their prospective areas. For this role, the Host should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive experience from the moment they arrive until their departure
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)
- Welcome guests to the venue
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
- Provide menus and announce Waiter / Waitress's name
- Greet customers upon their departure
- Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
- Maintain a clean reception area
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly)
- Answer incoming calls and address customers' queries
- Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team
- Consistently maintains clean and safe work area for self and other team members
- Participate in seamless operation between BOH FOH staff members ensuring proper service to our guests
- Perform to high standards of excellence, execution, and cleanliness
- Always keep your active SNHD Food Handler's card with you while on property
- Report health and safety incidents and concerns directly to leadership in an accurate and timely manner
- Monitor and ensure cleanliness of all place settings, tabletops, seats, and floor
- Perform customer service duties as assigned (such as beverage and plate service)
- Communicate with cashier and servers for needs and any guest service issue
- Ensure that items are fully stocked, and equipment is in good working condition
- Strong knowledge and consistent use of SNHD regulations and standards
- Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team
- Consistently maintains clean and safe work area for self and other team members
- Participate in seamless operation between BOH FOH staff members ensuring proper service to our guests
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, polishing cutlery / glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
- Explain basic details of food dishes and beverages to guests
- Perform to high standards of excellence, execution, and cleanliness
- Always keep your active SNHD Food Handler's card with you while on property
- Report health and safety incidents and concerns directly to leadership in an accurate and timely manner
- Contribute to successful SNHD health inspections
- Monitor and ensure cleanliness of all place settings, tabletops, seats, and floor
- Communicate with cashier and servers for needs and any guest service issues
- Actively participate in all scheduled required training sessions
- Responsibility weekly requirement to post / share digital marketing on social media accounts as provided by Kassi Marketing
- Other duties as assigned
