HR Assistant / Recruiter
Position Overview
The HR Assistant / Recruiter serves as support our human resources functions, with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition. This role will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about creating a positive employee experience. The position is Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This role supervises no employees and reports to Human Resources Generalist.
Essential Duties :
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition :
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for various positions.
- Post job openings on job boards, company websites, and social media.
- Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
- Conduct initial phone screenings and provide candidate recommendations.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS).
HR Administrative Support :
Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation.
Maintain and update employee records in HR databases.
Employee Engagement & Compliance :
Support employee engagement initiatives and company events.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and HR best practices.
Compliance and Confidentiality :
Adhere to insurance regulations and confidentiality requirements.
Ensure all customer data and interactions are handled securely and professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills and a client-focused approach, ensuring each customer interaction is handled with care and efficiency.
Great multi-tasker and ability to adapt to new tools
Thrives in high-paced environment. Must handle a continuous stream of customer interactions, always ensuring accuracy and professionalism
Direct experience with medical claims or similar work industry
Qualifications
Education : Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience :
1-3 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative support.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in HR software (e.g., ATS, HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management tools such as Slack and Asana.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent multitasking and time management abilities.
