Position Overview
The Temporary Accounting Clerk supports our finance department through general accounting data entry and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The role is temporary, lasting 3-4 months, and is full-time. This position will report directly to the Director of Finance and Investment and is Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for accounting tasks and data management.
Conduct basic Excel operations, including validations, calculations, and balancing.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial transactions.
Handle check runs, direct deposits, and ACH transactions.
Assist with financial reporting and documentation as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.

Basic experience with Microsoft Excel, including data validation, calculations, and balancing.
Familiarity with check runs, direct deposits, and ACH transactions.
Previous experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
