What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty - Economics, School of Business position at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)?
The Department of Economics in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicants for the 2023-2024 academic year for adjunct teaching positions. Should the need and the funding for adjunct teaching positions arise, the Department of Economics will contact applicants in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.
This posting will remain active until June 30, 2024. After June 30, 2024, you will need to reapply to the updated posting if you would like to remain in the adjunct pool.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach courses as needed. These classes could be inclusive of all areas within the discipline
Required Qualifications:
- A masters degree in economics
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Economics
- Prior teaching experience
