The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University, seeks candidates to apply for the Image Processing Engineer position.

Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing AI/ML based infrared image processing with application of Artificial Intelligence processes using machine learning techniques.
Duties include:
- Develop diverse protocols for intelligent image processing that can be applied to various automation
- Demonstrate key project outcomes in image processing and contribute to the AI/ML program as a part of the developer team
Required Qualifications:
-Have experience or demonstrated ability to research and employ machine learning algorithms
-Upper-level undergraduate or graduate student at VCU
-Have experience or demonstrated ability to optimize code for speed and organization
--Strong problem solving, organizational, prioritization skills
-Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an hourly employee at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS degree in Data Science
