Responsibilities

The adjunct instructor will teach CLRS 232: Radiation Safety in person at the College of Health Professions.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

• Develop and present coursework in a core radiation science course.
• Pursue excellence by utilizing appropriate teaching strategies.
• Develop course objectives, content collaboration with the department chair and in accordance with the program goals.
• Actively participate in course and curricular evaluation and development.
  
  

Course is taught Wednesdays 4-5:50 pm beginning in the fall 2025 semester. This adjunct role has the potential to include teaching the same class in the spring semesters.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree at the time of hire.
• Certification in a radiologic technology profession by either the ARRT or NMTCB.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered radiologic technologist.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of professionalism, respect, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an adjunct faculty member at VCU.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience instructing in a classroom and laboratory setting.
• Experience teaching undergraduate health professional students.
• Experience using Canvas learning systems.
