Job Duties
Position performs day-to-day program oversight in a district or as part of statewide
program. Characteristic duties include conducting studies and research, technical training and programmatic assistance, program evaluation, policy development and analysis and coordination of resources. Responsibilities are carried out independently based on an outline or work plan developed by or approved by the supervisor. Thorough knowledge of program policies, procedures, service delivery methods and clear communication skills are necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrate working knowledge of state emergency operations plans & systems, data processing and agency policies, procedures, and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to develop program procedures and evaluate outcome
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate; ability to work with all levels of government.
Ability to conduct trainings (via webinar, face-to-face or phone), provide technical assistance, collect and analyze data, perform administrative tasks, use evaluation protocols, and generate reports.
Experience in the creation of emergency preparedness templates, plan development and exercise 100, 200, 700, 800, and 300 preferred.
Additional Considerations
Training/experience in public safety, emergency management, pubic administration, or a related field preferred.
