What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSESSOR-LMHP (LPC, LCSW, RESIDENTS AND SUPERVISEES) (INTAKE SPECIALIST) position at Virginia Family Services?
Position: Full-Time In-Person Assessor
Position Details: The Assessor conducts Comprehensive Needs Assessments for the Clinical Department. Assessments are conducted for Mental Health Skill-Building, Intensive In-Home, Residential Crisis, Substance Use Intensive Outpatient, and Substance Use Partial Hospitalization.
The Assessor must have knowledge of direct behavioral health and substance use services. Including (but not limited to):
- Assessment, treatment, and consultation.
- DSMV-TR, Diagnosis and symptomology
- Medical Necessity and Service Components of: Substance Use Intensive Outpatient, and Substance Use Partial Hospitalization, Mental Health Skill-Building, and Residential Crisis
- Applicants must be able to apply counseling, diagnosis theories, and techniques to a full range of diverse consumer populations.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related Human Services field
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience working in a crisis setting with individuals and families
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, supervisory experience
- Must be able to meet deadlines and computer savvy
- Licensed by the Board of Counseling (LMHP Type---LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Resident or Supervisee)
Assessors must be able to meet submission guidelines, assess medical necessity, and utilize DSM-5 diagnosis and ICD-10 codes.
