Virginia Family Services is committed to providing a structured and supportive environment for individuals in recovery. We are seeking a responsible Recovery House Manager to monitor our sober living house, ensuring a safe and sober environment for our residents.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise Residents: Monitor and support residents to ensure compliance with house rules and sobriety requirements.
• Conduct Inspections: Regularly inspect common areas and individual rooms for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs.
• Document Activities: Maintain accurate and timely records of daily activities, incidents, and resident interactions.
• Enforce House Rules: Uphold and enforce house rules and policies to maintain a structured living environment.
• Provide Support: Offer assistance and guidance to residents, helping them navigate their recovery journey.
• Conflict Resolution: Address and mediate conflicts or issues among residents in a calm and fair manner.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or crises, following established protocols.
• Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with other staff members and report any significant issues or concerns to supervisors.
• Facilitate Meetings: Assist in organizing and facilitating house meetings and group activities.
• Reports: Generate and Review reports for supervisor review.
Requirements:
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or working with individuals in recovery is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Abilities: Must be able to follow up and follow through with assigned tasks. Capable of working Independently and with the team.
• Attitude: Compassionate, patient, and able to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
• Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training: Certification in CPR and First Aid, Narcan Training (Preferred)
• Knowledge: Familiarity with addiction recovery principles and sober living operations.
• Must have a valid VA Driver's License
