POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for working with new and existing brokers on coordinating enrollment, group implementation, creating proposals, processing new business, creating and finalize renewal packages, servicing accounts & educating broker/agents on insurance products.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Process all small group renewals using carrier guidelines
- Request, draft and process insurance proposals for various broker/agents.
- Educate and train broker/agents on insurance products/benefits.
- Process new group applications, contracts and other paperwork.
- Act as a liaison between carrier and Brokers resolving documentation, rate, timeliness, etc. issues
- Update and maintain electronic files
- Create renewal packages, distribute/email to brokers, mail to accounts
- Attend trade shows and agent meetings.
- Service and resolve issues with broker/agent accounts.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Answer phone inquiries
- Attend carrier seminars
- Complete reports as assigned by Marketing Manager
- All other duties as assigned by Marketing Manager
- Slight travel required <10%
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree or equivalent work experience
- State health and life insurance (or the ability to obtain within three months of hire)
- Sixteen hours of health and life continuing education credits – every two years
MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong detail orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Proficient in Microsoft Access or other windows based database program.
- Effective in both verbal and written communications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven customer focus
