As an Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting general ledger, payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivables, and reporting functions as needed. You’ll work closely with the Business Office and the Chief Financial Officer. This role will involve identifying, researching, and resolving financial discrepancies, as well as assisting with the creation and updating of project-related spreadsheets. Growth opportunities exist for this position, and we will consider minimum to maximum levels of education and experience!
The successful candidate will be responsible for data gathering and ensuring accuracy/completeness of financial records. These tasks will provide support for not only the budgeting process, but also external reports for governmental entities. Effective communication with various team members across the organization will also be a key aspect of this role. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in routine and ad-hoc reporting tasks to support decision-making processes within the organization. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting functions. Fluency in Excel is critical.
