Essential Duties and Qualifications
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to help patients achieve their goals.
- Monitor patients' progress and provide feedback to the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies for improving daily activities and overall quality of life.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to assist and lift patients as needed.
- Capability to perform physical tasks and stand for extended periods.
