Essential Duties and Qualifications
The Maintenance Technician has the following responsibilities:
- Repairing and maintaining facility equipment.
- Installing and/or assembling new equipment.
- Performing facility rounds (inside and outside) on a regular basis
- Monitoring maintenance logs.
- Performing environmental of care checks
- Maintaining facility lighting
- Driving company van when needed.
- Ensuring all chemicals are stored/disposed of and/or used safely
- Performing preventive maintenance as scheduled.
- Complying with all established policies and procedures.
- Promoting and demonstrate positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents, family members and visitors.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of operation of various machines and equipment and general maintenance procedures.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing.
- Computer knowledge preferred.
- Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information.
- Ability to effectively respond to questions.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, turn, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, talk, hear, taste and smell.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to perform tasks in inclement weather when needed.
- Risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials.
