Qualifications
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will assist in implementing treatment plans to help patients recover mobility, relieve pain, and improve overall physical function. Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Physical Therapist (PT) in executing patient treatment plans based on individualized goals and diagnoses.

Guide patients through exercises, therapeutic activities, and mobility training as prescribed by the PT.

Monitor and document patient progress, responses, and any changes in condition, reporting to the PT as needed.

Provide education and encouragement to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation techniques and home exercises.

Use therapeutic equipment and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy safely and effectively.

Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with regulations and facility policies.

Ensure a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.

Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
Education & Licensing:
-
Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a PTA

CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
Experience:
-
Entry-level candidates are welcome; prior experience in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting is a plus

Experience working in outpatient, inpatient, home health, or skilled nursing facilities is beneficial
Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques and exercises

Ability to assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals

Ability to motivate and encourage patients throughout their therapy

Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs when assisting patients
