Job Duties
This position serves as a Regional HR Business Partner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) with oversight over an array of HR functions. Provides expert level advice to managers and supervisors regarding complex matters while supporting the HR Analyst with audit oversight, guidance, direction and approval of all HR functions, and accurate interpretation of state and federal policies and regulations related to various HR functional areas. Extensive contact with internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance and problem resolution services as well as to discuss complex matters or matters of controversy. Serves as a subject matter expert in their assigned regions in areas such as recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, and employee relations. Work and HR issues are typically more difficult in nature. Leads and manages projects assigned to HR team. Responsible for process design for workflow; leads and manages projects assigned to HR Operations Team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of HR practices and principles to perform and lead advanced level duties.
- Considerable knowledge of compensation / classification, recruitment / selection, benefits, employee relations.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state HR laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated high ability to make decisions independently in accordance with applicable federal and state HR regulations and to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience developing strategies to improve customer service.
- Demonstrated experience to analyze data and reach conclusions that are logical and legally supportable.
- Considerable experience performing job analyses, complaint investigations; to professionally counsel and advise all levels of management and staff.
