Job Duties
The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) is seeking a Technology Business Analyst to perform several key tasks that bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions.
Essential functions include but are not limited to :
- Elicits and documents business requirements through techniques such as interviews, workshops, and surveys.
- Analyzes current business processes and identifying areas for improvement or automation.
- Engages with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide updates, and manage expectations.
- Designs solutions that meet business needs and are feasible within the technical constraints.
- Analyzes data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
- Creates detailed documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and solution designs.
- Assists in the development of test plans and test cases, and validates the solutions meet the business requirements.
- Provides training and support to end-users to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
- Assists project managers with planning, coordinating, and tracking project activities.
- Effectively performs additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology or related field.
Five (5) years of progressive experience in data analysis, project management, business analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Considerations
VRS is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Technology Hybrid Work Schedule is currently three (3) days in the on-site in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and two (2) days remote (Monday and Friday). The selected candidate must be able to work any day in the office if required by the manager.
