Position Overview
The Assistant Crew Leader will play a key role in supporting the Crew Leader in the daily operations of commercial landscape maintenance projects. This position requires leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for maintaining beautiful, well-managed outdoor spaces. You will help lead a team, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Crew Leader in organizing and directing daily work activities.
- Lead by example by ensuring quality work and professional conduct.
- Operate landscape maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and more.
- Ensure job sites are completed according to schedule and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with the Crew Leader and team members to carry out daily tasks.
- Conduct site cleanups and maintain the appearance of all properties.
- Follow all company safety standards and protocols.
- Represent Virginia Landscape Management professionally at all times when on client properties.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- 3 Years of Experience in the commercial landscape industry (Required)
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) (Required)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to follow directions precisely and work independently as needed.
- Punctuality and reliability are a must.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a commitment to teamwork.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
