Job Duties
Job Description:
- Operates trucks, tractors, backhoes, front-end loaders, mowers, snowplows and other equipment related to preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Responds to emergency situations as needed during and after hours to include snow and ice removal
- Apply herbicides, insecticide, and fertilizers to the turf, yards, fields, and plants (certifications required with this position)
- Operate JLG lift and bucket truck lift for tree/shrub trimming (certification required) and/or removal
- Maintain and perform minor repair to equipment
- Perform function set ups per work order and diagrams
- Support special events after hours and on weekends
- Identified as essential personnel
Minimum Qualifications
- Working skill in the use of hand tools
- Ability to operate motor vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor
- Ability to work from heights; preferred
- JLG Lift and Bucket Truck certificate (required within 6 months from date of employment);
Additional Considerations
- High school diploma/GED
- Knowledge of arithmetic, units of measure and equipment maintenance
- Basic computer skills
