Description:
Full-time provider medical assistant to join our clinical department and float across office locations. A provider medical assistant works side-by-side with a physician to provide nursing functions using established procedures and standards to assist with OB/GYN patient appointments and procedures.
Requirements:Essential Functions:
- Interview new patients and record patient information
- Assist with patient exams and procedures
- Request diagnostic testing and communicate results to patient in a timely manner
- Stock and clean exam rooms
- Ensure all required written forms, computer documentation, and patient medical records are completed in a timely manner
- Administer injections and medications
- Coordinate prescription orders with pharmacy and patient
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of clinical techniques
- Ability to function effectively as a team member
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with physicians, staff, and management
- Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to travel across multiple office locations
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience (preferred OB/GYN or primary care concentration) required
Certifications/Licensure:
- Current Medical Assistant Certification or ability to obtain it within 12 months of employment
