Medical Assistant and Front Desk Float

Medical assistant duties:

• Monitor and document patient's vital signs and medical information
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Follow hospital policies and procedures for patient safety and confidentiality

Front desk duties:

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
• Verify insurance information and assist with billing and payment processing
• Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow

Requirements:

• Valid Medical Assistant (MA) certificate
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric nursing preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in medical documentation

Skills:

• Proficiency in medical terminology
• Ability to accurately measure vital signs
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to pediatric care
• Strong skills in medical documentation and record keeping
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care
