Minimum Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field.
- Proven success in writing and editing press materials and managing public affairs campaigns.
- Experience in social media management, media relations, and using relevant tools (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).
- Public sector or transportation/rail experience.
- Strong writing and editorial experience.
- Experience developing executive level communications and presentations.
- Valid driver’s license and always maintain a safe driving record during employment with VRE
- Ability to work the flexible hours demanded by a transit operation environment
