Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds Community College seeks an Accounts Receivable/Grants Specialist to serve CCWA by maintaining, updating and reconciling accounts receivable. Working closely with CCWA grant program managers, the Accounts Receivable/Grants Specialist ensures compliance with funding requirements and state and federal regulations. In assisting the Business Director, this role maintains and updates CCWA financial systems and performs a variety of fiscal duties in support of CCWA’s business services. The Accounts Receivable/Grants Specialist will serve as a backup to the Purchasing Liaison.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with accounting principles and practices
- Ability to research, investigate, analyze, and reconcile financial data in compliance with
- Ability to perform in-depth financial reconciliations.
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with automated financial systems and multiple funding
- Proficient in the use of Excel and Word.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Working knowledge of AIS (Financial System), Cardinal and other systems
- Post-secondary education in accounting or business administration or equivalent experience or
- Experience preparing journal entries.
