Reporting to the Financial Aid Coordinator, the Financial Aid Technician creates and maintains financial aid records and completes accurate reports. This position also assists students and staff with the financial aid process, including providing guidance, answering questions and conducting research. The incumbent informs prospective and current students, parents, and local area high schools of the availability, eligibility requirements and application process for all financial aid and Veterans Affairs programs. The Financial Aid Technician processes financial aid awards and makes student award recommendations to the Financial Aid Coordinator based upon specific program criteria for federal and state grants, scholarships, and emergency student aid.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
