Join our Roanoke plant as an HR Business Partner, where you'll collaborate with plant operation leaders to cultivate individual and organizational growth. We're seeking a dedicated professional to lead our HR initiatives, focusing on employee development, talent acquisition, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and guidance on matters related to talent management, organizational change, employee and labor relations, and engagement. You'll be at the forefront of directing the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits administration, and policy enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with plant leadership to understand and implement talent strategies that address current and future needs. This includes recruiting top talent, enhancing employee retention, and planning for succession.
- HR Support and Guidance: Offer expert support to HR managers, plant management, and staff, handling complex and sensitive issues with professionalism. This may involve administering tasks such as reasonable accommodations, investigating misconduct, and managing terminations.
- Compensation and Benefits Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends in compensation and propose competitive pay structures to attract and retain the best talent.
- Employee Development: Lead initiatives that foster employee growth and development, ensuring a skilled and engaged workforce.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure consistent application and enforcement of company policies and practices, maintaining a fair and compliant work environment.

Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications master’s or MBA; B.S. degree in HR Management, Business, Psychology, or related field. 7 – 10 years' experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility as a HR Manager and or Business Partner. Strong oral and written communication skills and experience with labor relations. Experience working in union and non-union manufacturing environment. Experience with driving employee engagement and positive employee relations with all levels of employees. Strong professional maturity / judgment and accustomed to dealing with confidential situations.
Preferred experience and mastery with Excel.
