The Executive Assistant Director of Operations plays a key leadership role in overseeing and optimizing the university's operational functions to ensure efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment with institutional goals. This position assists in managing daily operations, coordinating cross-departmental initiatives, and implementing process improvements. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support high-level decision-making to enhance organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee administrative and operational processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, state regulations, and industry best practices.
- Analyze operational workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.
- Serve as a liaison between different departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Facilitate interdepartmental projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
- Work closely with HR, finance, facilities, and IT teams to streamline operations.
- Assist in budget planning, monitoring expenses, and ensuring financial efficiency in operations.
- Ensure vendor contracts and procurement processes align with institutional policies.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies to protect institutional assets.
- Oversee safety, security, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to administrative and operational teams.
