Reporting to the Sr. Director, Talent Acquisition the Contract Recruiter will play a pivotal role in driving the full-cycle recruitment process to attract and secure top talent. This position is instrumental in expanding teams across various functions and departments requiring new or additional staff. Through innovative sourcing strategies, compelling job description marketing, proactive pipeline development, candidate evaluation, and effective interviewing, the Contract Recruiter identifies and engages the most qualified candidates to fill critical roles.
As a champion of Viridian’s mission and culture, the Contract Recruiter ensures candidates align with the company’s values and technical requirements. Collaborating closely with the broader HR team, this role partners with hiring managers to align talent acquisition strategies with business objectives. The Contract Recruiter is also responsible for negotiating offers, maintaining internal pay equity, and contributing to the organization’s long-term success by strategically attracting, recruiting, and hiring the right talent for Viridian.
This role is based in our Waltham, MA headquarters. Our office-based employees follow a hybrid in-office 3 days per week schedule.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Manage Full Life Cycle Recruitment: Oversee all aspects of the recruiting process, including sourcing, conducting phone screens, in-person interviews (when applicable), negotiating and extending offers, and closing candidates.
- Develop Talent Pipelines: Build and maintain a pipeline of active and passive job seekers through diverse networking channels and sourcing strategies.
- Set Clear Expectations: Collaborate with hiring managers to establish realistic timelines, labor market insights, interview processes, and their roles in the recruitment journey.
- Consult on Hiring Practices: Partner with business groups to provide guidance and ensure adherence to effective, equitable hiring practices.
- Create Customized Recruitment Strategies: Work closely with hiring managers to design tailored recruitment plans that attract top-tier talent while meeting deadlines.
- Promote Employer Branding: Advise hiring managers on strategies to effectively promote their roles within their networks and enhance their outreach.
- Foster Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and candidate expectations throughout the recruitment process.
- Facilitate debrief meetings: Lead meaningful debrief discussions once candidates have completed interviews.
