Job Summary :
The Business Development Specialist will market to internal and external prospective physicians to maximize the potential volume-based activity at our current ASC facilities across the region. This position requires extensive travel and will demand frequent visits with existing credentialed physicians, their key office staff, and surgical schedulers to build relationships. This position also requires the employee to seek out and organically build a recruitment pipeline of new physicians for the Virtua ASC's.
Position Responsibilities :
Identify, act on leads and evaluate new business opportunities to recruit new physicians into the Virtua portfolio of ASC's. Understand markets, trends and provider and center priorities. Communicate the requested physician office staff needs, as identified, to the appropriate internal ASC resource.
Act as an integrated member of the Business Development team. Build strong relationships with assigned ASC management teams, board members, and physicians. Attend evening board meetings as well as NJAASC associations and related networking events.
Ensure retention of current physician partners and non-partners at assigned ASC's. Monitor physician satisfaction results for each assigned ASC location, working with the ASC and the physician practices to provide seamless scheduling and access. Discuss with physician owners' succession planning steps at their location.
Maintain database of physician activity (CRM).
Measure ASC user volume and growth on a quarterly basis and develop a response plan if needed.
Identify additional opportunities for the development of new partnerships.
Position Qualifications Required :
Required Experience :
2-4 years Healthcare sales / business development experience required. Ambulatory experience preferred.
Required Education :
Bachelor's degree required.
