Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager who has a focus on fixed assets to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves overseeing the accounting staff and reviewing work papers, reporting and workflow.
The role :
- Own the reconciliation of key fixed asset and real estate tax subledgers to the general ledger
- Manage the day-to-day responsibilities and filter questions when it comes to fixed assets
- Oversee the reconciliation process with the fixed asset area
- Assist with a timely month and year end close
- Approve and review journal entries ensuring accuracy
- Coordinate with both internal and external auditors
- Handle ad hoc fixed assets and real estate projects as need arises
