Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Field Technician. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with wireless communications systems, including complex radio systems for public safety and private entities. Location: Irving,/TX or Denver/CO or Deerfield/FL
Skills Needed:
1. In-depth knowledge of DOCSIS
a. MAC and PHY Layer
i. Suttle differences between vendors (Harmonic, Vecima and Harmonic)
b. NMS and Provisioning
i. Ability to guide the customer through the process with an in-depth understanding of optimizing the Air Wireless platform
c. CMTS and Cable Modem Operations.
i. May require hands on CLI work on 3rd party CMTS and CMs.
ii. Understanding of Modem Config files.
2. Advanced Networking
a. Routing, Switching, Fiber Optic Communications
3. Network Management and Provisioning
a. Basic SNMP, Telemetry or TR-069 based
b. Basic understanding of TFTP, IPERF and various performance testing tools.
4. Server Management (Microsoft or LINUX based)
a. Ability to comprehend and become proficient with the Air Wireless Management software for use with the customer
5. Communications Skills
a. Technical comprehension and the ability to effectively communicate both in writing and presenting to a technical audience
6. Fixed Wireless Access Principles.
7. Problem Solving
a. Utilizing RF planning and management tools
b. Working with vendors and internal resources to find resolution
Experience:
· 5-10 Years in the cable or wireless industry preferred
· 5 – 10 Years of technical customer facing experience (or working for an operator)
Education:
· No degree required
· Comfortable with the SCTE Standards

Pay: $4,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
