POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Courtesy Patrol position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while meeting the operational needs of our residents and guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Greet guests and owners in a friendly manner as they enter the community by verifying if any owner or a guest. Every vehicle that enters the property must be logged. Provide instructions and directions as needed. Written directions, and a manual of operations are available.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalency preferred. One to three years of general experience in security/patrol trades is preferred. Some positions may require the ability to meet company driving standards and drive a company vehicle.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to use.

Must demonstrate the ability to interact with people and meet their needs as required in a friendly and hospitable manner.

CONDITIONS OF WORK:

The employee must be able to work extended and flexible hours; and weekends as needed.

This position works under indoor and outdoor conditions and may be exposed to elements including but not limited to, chemicals, odor, weather, and environmental conditions. The associate must be able to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time, and must be able to sit, walk, crawl, climb, reach with hands and arms and lift 50 lbs. The employee must be able to navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions and must be able to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION:

Hours: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to Midnight

The position is a gate attendant/courtesy patrol- no license required.
