Association Accountant
The successful candidate should present excellent written and verbal communications skills. The candidate shall be motivated, focused on achieving high quality standards of goals and results. Must be able to perform functions to prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements for the assigned properties / associations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and analyzes monthly bank reconciliations for the assigned associations.
- Verifies accounts payable postings and accounts receivable.
- Prepares and analyzes all balance sheet reconciliations for the association and resolve differences.
- Records, classifies and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with GAAP.
- Provides and analyzes accurate and timely financial statements for the association.
- Analyzes and documents budget variances related to profit and loss statements.
- Provides sales tax information to be filed and paid.
- Researches and resolves outstanding accounts receivable and accounts payable issues with the respective team.
- Assists in the annual budget process.
- Assists in the preparation of cash flow projections and developer funding requests.
- Prepares information for the year-end audit packages and interact with external auditors in completing audits.
- Participates and supports the property manager on board meetings when needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Accounting degree or equivalent experience required.
Some experience in HOA / COA GL Accounting is preferred.
