The Leadership Opportunity
This role offers the chance to lead a large unit or multiple ambulatory units, shaping the delivery of Interventional Radiology services. You will:
- Lead & Develop Teams: Determine appropriate staffing mix, screen, interview, hire, train, and ensure ongoing competency. Provide mentorship and foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on professional growth.
- Manage Human Resources: Resolve HR issues, address labor relations matters (within a Labor/Management Partnership environment), manage employee safety, and handle risk management concerns for the department.
Your focus will be on ensuring efficient and effective operations. This includes:
- Overseeing Daily Functions: Manage the day-to-day operations of the ambulatory IR unit(s), ensuring smooth workflow and optimal resource utilization.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and monitor departmental policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and support high-quality care.
- Financial Management: Develop and monitor departmental budgets and resource allocations. Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining or improving service quality.
Maintaining the highest standards is paramount. You will:
- Ensure Quality Care: Guarantee staff provide high-quality, accessible, cost-effective, and patient-focused services. Collaborate with physicians and providers to establish, implement, and maintain patient care and quality service standards.
- Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission standards, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Advocate for Patients: Act as a patient advocate, resolving care issues and ensuring patient needs are met. Design and evaluate processes to improve systems and patient care results.
- Work closely with Physician Team Leaders and Department Chiefs to align patient service levels and daily operations.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments and healthcare providers across the continuum of care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing AND (Bachelor's degree in Nursing or health-related field OR 4 years equivalent directly related experience) (Required).
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience including progressive management/leadership/supervisory roles within a healthcare setting (Required).
- License: Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required); ACLS/PALS/PEARS may be required depending on specific department needs.
- Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, TJC, and relevant regulations; Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills (Required).
- Education: Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years experience in an outpatient/ambulatory care setting; Clinical specialization or experience in Interventional Radiology or related procedural area.
- Must be able to work effectively within a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Salary : $180,500 - $216,946
