Investment Ops and Performance Specialist

Vise, a technology driven Investment Advisor is seeking an experienced Investment Operations Specialist to join our Investment Strategy  Team. In this role, you will be an indispensable resource at the operational center of the Vise investment process. You will apply your financial services experience to learn and understand Vise established internal workflows and offer an entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset to implement and improve the Vise middle and back office investment processes. This role is onsite in NYC in our SoHo office.

What you bring on day one

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a financial services operations role
• Experience working in middle and back office operations supporting SMAs for clients of registered investment advisors (RIAs) and/or broker-dealers
• Experience as a Portfolio Administrator and/or Performance Analyst
• Familiar with RIA custodian platforms such as Schwab and Fidelity
• Experience with portfolio accounting and reporting systems, such as Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX)
• Proficient in Google Workspace, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint tools - Python and SQL a plus

What you will own

• Partner with the Vise Engineering team to automate the daily account reconciliation process and develop in-house performance and attribution reporting capabilities 
• Maintain a third party portfolio accounting platform and the daily reconciliation of client account data from the custodian
• Resolve daily account issues at custodians and on the Vise platform
• Calculate performance on a daily basis to ensure that returns are accurate across securities, accounts, and asset classes
• Create performance reports that reflect the Vise investment process
• Work with the Vise Trading team to ensure that all accounts are ready and  available  to trade daily 
• Ensure all Vise investment processes adhere  to regulatory requirements, including trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
• Support the Client Operations Lead to address client inquiries related to investment operations.
• Build and maintain GIPS compliant performance composites

Through the internal and market data Vise has collected, we expect the salary range for this position to be $90,000 - $120,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package. Your actual compensation will be determined based on your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Vise offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits.
