Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is currently seeking applicants for a Benefits Manager.

Responsible for: overseeing specific plan details with each carrier and maintaining a working knowledge of federal and state legislation influencing benefits. We are looking for a self-driven Benefits Manager who enjoys collaborating with team members to successfully manage the administrative aspects of the benefits function. You will work closely with selected carriers, vendors, and business unit HR groups to ensure the company provides a comprehensive benefits package for employees.

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain strong knowledge of benefits related compliance areas and perform needed activities associated to complying with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits including, but not limited to COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of all benefits programs including healthcare, retirement, life insurance, disability, spending accounts, wellness programs, and other employee benefits. Regularly review and assess benefit offerings to ensure alignment with market trends and employee expectations and ensure competitiveness in attracting and retaining talent.
  • Oversee COBRA administration with third-party vendor.
  • Partner with third party vendor to oversee and manage leave programs (e.g., parental, disability) and accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Partner with retirement plan administrator, auditors, payroll, and internal finance team to conduct annual non-discrimination testing. Participate in quarterly retirement plan meetings to review plan details and complete amendments as needed.
  • Work closely with Benefit Administration System, Benefitfocus, on data validation, EOI approvals, life event documentation, OE setups, carrier file reviews and benefit questions from employees. Ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollments, terminations, and changes in benefit elections for employees.
  • Oversee integration of benefits data across all systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security. Work with HRIS, payroll, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (HRIS, payroll, HRBPs, IT, Finance, Legal) to ensure alignment and smooth operations and accurate benefits deductions and contributions.
  • Serve as primary contact for benefits brokers, benefit providers, and 3rd party administrators - ensuring high quality service, accountability, plan effectiveness, and expectations are achieved.
  • Manage the annual benefits renewal and negotiation processes.
  • Conduct regular data audits for benefits programs, implementing controls to ensure integrity.
  • Create and distribute the monthly Benefits Bulletin, enabling employees to understand the value of the organization’s benefits program.
  • Oversee the reconciliation process of all benefit-related invoices in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance and ongoing training to the HRBPs on benefits, leaves, accommodations, and wellness programs.
  • Oversee the work of the Benefit Specialist, fostering a learning environment that encourages growth and development.

What you will bring along:

  • 5 years of proven experience in benefits administration, leading benefit renewals and open enrollments for a workforce with exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Strong knowledge of US benefits regulations, compliance requirements including but not limited to the ADA, Rehabilitation Act, Health Care Reform, FMLA, HIPAA, and other pertinent regulations.
  • Experience in the day-to-day administration of benefits programs, including processing enrollments, managing benefits data, and handling employee inquiries.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts with benefits providers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve employee benefits issues.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel and Power Point)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and multitask.
  • Detail oriented with exceptional attention to accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience using Ultimate Software, Workday or Benefitfocus is a plus.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or CEBS certifications are preferred, but not required.
