Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay EFI is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operator 1 for the day-to-day wet etching and plating of custom thin film circuits. This includes equipment set-up, etching and plating processes, measuring critical dimensions and metal thicknesses, and visual inspection of all products. The Operator 1 will help the Wet Chem area meet its daily production obligations by adhering to quality and workmanship standards and producing work on-time and at the expected production rate.
Job Location:
Vishay Electro Films is located in the beautiful ocean state of Rhode Island in the city of Warwick. There are 92 employees across three shifts working at our 57,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This role is an on-site position.
What you will be doing:
- Process work orders through the Wet Chem area in accordance with the daily schedule.
- Verify etching and plating equipment is in proper working condition before using.
- Make-up all etching chemicals per Process Instructions.
- Wet etch substrates using manual and automated methods.
- Verify critical dimensions (CD’s) on substrates as required using Smart Scope measuring system and XRF tools after plating for measuring metal thickness.
- Inspect substrates for completion of etch and other possible defects.
- Inspect substrates after plating to look for defects in the plated film.
- Perform accurate transactions in our Avante system.
- Completely and accurately fill out all logs associated with your transaction.

- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform work under a microscope.
- Good hand/ eye coordination.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have a continuous improvement attitude and strong attention to details.
- Must be able to learn to read, comprehend, and interpret dimensional drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to use a microscope to find and identify defects.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
