Job Summary:
As a Senior Accountant at Vision Graphics, you will be an essential part of our Corporate Accounting and Finance department, supporting all our branches and brands. In this role, you will be the gatekeeper of our financial records and processes. You will report directly to the VP, Head of Finance. You will work closely with management and other departments as you encourage and enforce strong financial practices. Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with GAAP
- Manage the month-end close process
- Provide financial analysis and general financial support, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Assist in the financial reporting package preparation, including compilation and review of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows
- Monitor and enhance financial processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and strong internal controls
- Assist with team goal setting
- Support the external audit process and other external compliance
- Support leadership with insightful analysis, or other ad-hoc reports, as needed
- Provide coaching and guidance to other members of the accounting team
- Willingness to put in occasional overtime to meet deadlines, as needed.
Qualifications:
Essential:
· Progressive career with experience as Sr. Accountant or equivalent duties
· BS degree in Accounting, Finance, (or similar) -OR- additional relevant experience.
· Well versed in accounting procedures
· Must be process-oriented and very adaptable to change.
· Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Strong understanding of General Ledger management
· Proficient in accounting research and reconciliation
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
· General knowledge with accounting software / ERP
· Strong problem solving skills evidenced by demonstrated results in past positions
· Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload
Preferred:
· Experience in the Manufacturing or CPG industries
· Experience in a high-growth environment
· Experience at $50M-$200M size company
· Big4 or Regional public accounting experience
· CPA or CPA eligible
