Job Summary: We are seeking a Marketing Director to lead our marketing and communications efforts, driving awareness, engagement, and donor acquisition for Vision House. This is a new leadership role in our growing organization, ideal for a mission-driven marketing professional who is both strategic and hands-on. The Marketing Director is someone who can see and tell a great story about solving homelessness. They will oversee marketing strategy, content creation, PR, digital engagement, and creative production. This position will begin without direct reports but is expected to include staff management responsibilities within a year.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
HOURS: Full-Time, Exempt w/occasional evening and weekend hours
LOCATION: Renton, WA (Occasionally Shoreline, WA or Remote)
Our new Marketing Director will enjoy the following benefits:
- $78,000 - $85,000 per year DOE
- Health insurance for Employee only: Medical $30-$100/month, Dental $11/month, and Vision $1/month. Separate rates for spouse/dependents.

As a Marketing Director your responsibilities will be in the following areas:
Strategic Marketing & Branding
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to further differentiate Vision House’s brand, expand Vision House’s reach and donor base.
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels and materials.
- Identify and implement new marketing for donor acquisition and engagement initiatives.
Content & Creative Production
- Create and manage marketing content, including social media, collateral, blog posts, videos, and photography – collaborating with philanthropy team as needed.
- Develop compelling storytelling campaigns that showcase the impact of Vision House’s mission.
- Collaborate with philanthropy team and provide support and editing on creative and communication.
- Manage external vendors and freelancers for design, video, and content production as needed.
Public Relations & Media Outreach
- Build relationships with local media and secure press coverage for Vision House’s work.
- Develop and distribute press releases and other PR materials.
- Collaborate with philanthropy team for presentations at events.
Digital Marketing
- Oversee website content, updates, and improvements to enhance user experience.
- Develop and manage digital advertising campaigns for donor acquisition and engagement.
Donor Engagement & Community Outreach
- Collaborate with event coordinator to support creative experiences for donor events.
- Collaborate with the philanthropy team to create marketing campaigns that drive donor growth and retention.
- Support church, corporate, and community partnerships through strategic marketing efforts.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with program, fundraising, and leadership teams to align messaging and strategies.
Requirements
Marketing Director candidates should have the following qualifications:
- 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in nonprofit, cause-driven, or mission-oriented organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. (Management experience preferred.)
- Strong storytelling and content creation skills, including writing, video, and social media.
- Experience with digital marketing, website management, and donor engagement strategies.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Passion for the Vision House mission and willingness to innovate and take initiative.
- Ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings
- Ability to pass background check.
- Must be an active follower of Jesus Christ and have ability to sign our Statement of Faith.
Salary : $78,000 - $85,000
