This position is responsible for supporting mobile device management, Archibus systems, and ensuring the seamless integration of mobile devices within our organization. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support, ensuring mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and BYOAD (Bring Your Own Approved Devices), are properly configured, secured, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
Mobile Device Support and Management
- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and BYOADs (Bring Your Own Approved Devices).
- Provide user support for mobile device issues and troubleshoot software and hardware problems.
- Ensure all mobile devices comply with AFMAN 17-1301, Computer Security policies, and organizational standards.
- Provision and secure mobile devices and associated applications (currently Blackberry Works) for end users.
- Provide hands-on remediation for devices and related peripherals (e.g., cases, keyboards, etc.).
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Archibus system components as it relates to mobile device management.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure Archibus and mobile systems integration functions smoothly.
- Assist users with enrolling in the BYOAD program and offer ongoing support for mobile device usage.
- Provide guidance on the secure use of mobile devices, data services, and applications.
- Assist with unenrolling users from the BYOAD program during out-processing or when devices are no longer required.
- Ensure mobile devices and software meet security policies and comply with organizational IT standards.
- Collaborate with network and cybersecurity teams to maintain a secure environment for mobile devices and data.
- Monitor mobile device configurations, software versions, and security settings to ensure continuous compliance.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of mobile device configurations, software updates, and user support requests.
- Document all procedures, troubleshooting steps, and updates to mobile device management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mobile devices and Archibus systems meet organizational needs.
- Provide periodic reports on device status, usage, and security compliance to senior leadership.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile device management, systems administration, or IT support.
- Hands-on experience with mobile device management platforms (e.g., Blackberry Works, MDM systems).
- Familiarity with Archibus system operations and integration is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mobile device security policies and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- Expertise in troubleshooting mobile devices, smart devices, and peripheral integration.
- Familiarity with DoD security protocols and AFMAN 17-1301 compliance.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- CompTIA Security or equivalent security certification.
- ITIL Foundation or similar certification.
- Archibus System certifications or training (optional but beneficial).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required).
