Vision Point Systems, Inc. is searching for a skilled Tactical Military Equipment Painters to add to our staff at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Duties will include, but are not be limited :
Painting military and applicable support equipment in support of the United States Marine Corps Corrosion Prevention and Control program.
Assessing equipment prior to recoating and determine the best way to complete the job, using and working with many different painting tools and requirements, including paint guns, brushes, rollers, and dry and wet film gauges.
Proficiently perform surface preparation to include equipment wash procedures to remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants.
Remove old layers of coatings from different types of surfaces with sand blasting and hand / power tool sanding without damaging the substrate
Use specialized knowledge to determine the best types of coatings and coating techniques to use on a specific job.
Ensure that all safety standards are maintained throughout each job.
Requirements
HS Diploma or GED.
1 years of experience in applicable field.
Specialized knowledge of painting and coating techniques and tools.
Physically able to remain standing for the majority of shift.
Must be able to prepare paints, thinners, dryers, etc. and clean / maintain spray painting equipment.
Knowledge of manufacturing repair / refinishing processes.
Experience with surface preparation for automobiles and / or military equipment.
Experience painting automobiles and / or military equipment.
Ability to use selected vendor materials and general supplies efficiently and cost effectively.
Must be efficient will the ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment.
Operate forklifts when required, after proper training and certification.
Keep work area organized.
Ensure a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment.
Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a government ran environment to reach a common goal.
Must be able to gain DBIDS / CAC access to military base.
Desired :
Formal training in industrial painting preferred.
Experience with primers, flat paints, and autobody repair (body putty application) preferred.
Industrial Security Professional Certification (ISP)

Pay = $25-$33 / hr DOE
