PART-TIME Porter *Urgently Hiring

Vision Property Management is hiring a part-time Porter to join our team.

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ALL HOURS: Mon/Wed/Fri – 4pm-8pm and Sat/Sun – 8am-4:30pm. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT WORK THIS SCHEDULE.

This position is based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and is expected to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to every day in the schedule.

We are looking for a reliable team-player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail. This position is a fast-paced position and requires strong customer service skills. The ability to work on multiple projects and complete tasks quickly and thoroughly is required.

The part-time Porter will need work closely with the Building Superintendent and Property Management team.

Job Description:

• Garbage removal in compliance with DSNY.
• Cleaning apartments and building, including all common areas including but not limited to the elevators, elevator lobbies, laundry centers, hallways, stairways, and building entrances.
• Complete snow removal, painting, and overall maintenance of the apartment buildings.
• Report all notable concerns such as vandalism, missing light bulbs or fixtures, missing smoke detectors or extinguishers in the common areas to the Building Superintendent.
• Assist or perform all work associated with the maintenance of the building at the direction of the Building Superintendent.
• Complete work orders and other duties as assigned by the Building Superintendent and Property Management team.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and previous relevant professional experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects
• Working knowledge of computers and smart phones preferred
• Ability to work the required schedule without issue. Additional hours may be required on an as needed basis.

Physical Requirements:

This is a physically demanding role and requires the ability to stand for long periods and perform physical activities such as bend, squat, kneel, push/pull, climb ladders, grasp/grip/turning. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
