The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting eyewear, fitting and adjusting glasses, and ensuring the highest level of customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products and services, as well as the ability to work effectively in a retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences.
- Perform fittings and adjustments on eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Maintain an organized display of eyewear products and ensure inventory is stocked.
- Utilize laboratory skills to create lenses and prepare eyewear for patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Manage patient records accurately, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly applied.
- Handle medical billing processes efficiently, including insurance verification and claims submission.
- Provide education to patients regarding proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Work with Dr. Assistants and front desk personal in coordinating patient care.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of laboratory processes related to eyewear production.
- Experience in retail management is a plus, enhancing customer service capabilities.
- Understanding of physiology as it relates to vision care.
- Experience working in a clinic setting is beneficial for patient interactions.
